So I find myself in Jersey this week. My company sent me to Iselin, NJ to get training on a reporting package. So here I am for 4 days, with no kids and a high-speed connection. Can you say playing time online? I will be playing on FTP and/or Party. IM me you are around!

New Blog - Check It Out

I found a new blog a couple of weeks ago. Actually the blog found me, in the form of a comment to one of my posts. This blog has been around since November. "Wolf's Way" is the name of the blog. It's by a Canadian named TW, eh!

What's not to like...

In his latest post he stays home from work (slacker), reformats a hard drive (geek), plays online poker (normal), and does sports bets (yeehaw). All this and Hunter S. Thompson, too. Sounds like a hardcore poker blogger to me.

Check it out. You may enjoy it more than this blog!!!

Table Gaming in West Virginia 2006

The State Legislature here in West Virginia is again contemplating a Table Gaming Law. If it is similar to the bill they tried to pass last year. It means there could be Table Gaming (POKER, Craps, Roulette, BlackJack, etc.) at any or all of the State's race tracks.

Last year's bill was passed by the State Senate and moved to the House of Delegates where it passed through one of the two committees quickly. It then got bottled up in the Finance Committee as the House was working to try and fix the State's Workman's Compensation system.

All indications I have read so far indicate the bill should pass. West Virginia does not want to lose revenues to Pennsylvania which passed a slots bill last year.

I will try to keep everyone updates as often as I can. In the meantime, you can email your State Legislators (and Committee Chairmen) and let them know how you feel on this issue. You can find member's email addresses here. Be courteous and respectful!

New Year's Thanks-Giving

Some (very (long (overdue))) Pimpage

Wow! A lot has happened in the poker blog community in the last year. It seems as if so many good (and bad) things have happened to so many bloggers. It is sometimes hard to keep track of it all.

One of my favorite bloggers has become a "Professional Poker Player". If I am lucky, I could one day be good enough to be called an "Un-Professional Poker Player.

Blogging the Carribean and Europe, and getting paid for it is fantastic. The other two on this blog Up for Poker (G-Rob and CJ) have been playing at amazing (and lucky?) levels lately.

I envy this Okie's ability to drive a few minutes to play poker brick & mortar style. Her play and writing seem to have improved equally well this year (And she was damn good to begin with).

This poker site and That poker site seem to have bought in to the whole blogging thing. This site has some very good bloggers on board, while This site seems to be hiring a sizable portion of the remaining bloggers - these guys among them.

This guy continues to crush the competition on a full time basis, and still finds time to write a book, get engaged, insult those who leave comments, and buy and move into a new house.

I fear I will not have the chance to stand in the proper place and say "Hi" to this blogging dealer. I can't wait to read about the roadshow.

I am pleased that this slot bandit has survived Vegas as long as he has.

Thank you Dr. for making Tournement Blogging Big.

Thank you Sir (May I have another... shot of SoCo?) for your entertainment.

Thank you BlogFather for the original pimpage over a year ago. I am dwarfed by your generosity. No wonder we all rever you!

Fel-i-c-a - I hope you are gaining strength both physically and mentally on your cruises.

Finally, HDub - thanks for the email. It took me a while to figure out it was you. You have given me a reason to continue this blog thingy. (Others may curse you for the same reason.)

By the way. Check out the expanded Poker Blog listing on the right. If you don't see yours there, let me know! (I link blogs I read here. I do not require link-backs - although they are very much appreciated!)
