Playing again!

I sat down and actually played some online poker today. It was for play money, but I felt like a criminal none the less.

I hopped over to UB and played 5 30-seat SnGs. Top 5 pay out play chips and I was in the money twice (4th and 5th) for 130 chips in profit. Then I had a 9th a 10th and a 27th out of 30. Since this is my first time playing in a while, I think that was pretty good. My play will improve as I play more. Part of my problem today was reading the opponents. I am generally good at reading opponents and figuring out what they have. That will improve as well.

I am not going to tell you who to vote for or why you should vote for them. You know what your own personal issues are and how you feel about them. You also know what the national and international issues are and how you feel about them as well. Only you can decide where best to pull a lever or check a ballot or touch a screen or punch a hole or however else you vote where you live.

What I am asking you to do is vote. If you don't vote then you do not have a leg to stand on when you gloat or complain over the results. Get your lazy butt down to the precinct and vote.

VOTE!!!

Book review 1 will be later this week. See you then!

Still Unemployed - mortal_one's Storefront

Hello all (three of you)!

It is mortal_one here. Job searching can be rough. I send out or deliver resumes and even interview, but still nothing. Anyone have an opening? My requirement is that I still live in Martinsburg, WV and that my commute is less than an hour. If it is a job over the web, so much the better. If anyone is interested in hiring a hardworking guy with managerial and technical experience let me know.

In light of my unsuccess so far at finding a job, I have opened "mortal_one's Storefront". You will find in on the right hand sidebar just before you come to the previous posts. It is an Amazon.com store, and I will be expanding it greatly in the coming days and weeks. If you have any suggestions as to what you would like to see in the store, let me know. Additionally, if you are an author of a poker book, or any other book for that matter, and you would like to see your book featured in my store, let me know.

As to playing poker? I regret that I have not played since my last post. I am still trying to figure out exactly how the Safe Ports Act will affect my online play. And I have yet to find a home game in the Martinsburg area. (So much for the poker boom).

I still have a couple of book reviews to complete, hopefully in the next week.

Until then, Enjoy the Pokery Goodness!
