Hello, Full Tilt? Can I Play With You Guys?

I finally found some time to try out FTP's latest solution to my problem of not being able to download their software. It was a rehash of a solution they sent me about 3 emails back. And guess what? It didn't work.

I have again sent them an email asking them to escalate this issue so I can get a resolution. Hopefully I will be back playing online again soon.

Still No Solution From Full Tilt Poker

After finally finding time, I was able to try the solution the fine Techs and Full Tilt Poker sent me. It did not work.

Below is the most recent message I sent back to them. I think I am being pretty nice at this point. I guess it is because I used to work on a help desk before and I know how impatient and rude people can get sometimes.

Hopefully the correct solution is coming soon.

Dear Full Tilt Poker Techs,

Thank you for all your help on this issue. Unfortunately, I still
can not download the software.
I am requesting that you escalate this
issue. Please review all the information in this email. It contains
everything I was asked or asked to do.

I have not problem in downloading other big files. In fact, I am
able to download many of your competitor's software with no problem
whatsoever. I have been patient so far because I enjoy playing on your
site. (And I have a fair amount of money in my account.)

Please email me back with your solution soon.

Waiting to play FTP Poker,

Date Set For Vote

Penn National, the owner of Charles Town Races and Slots has asked for a vote in Jefferson County. The special election will be held on December 5th, 2009. The question will be whether to allow Table Games, - blackjack, craps, POKER, etc. in addition to the over 5000 slot machines.

Winning this vote would mean a lot of extra revenue for Jefferson County, and the other counties that already have Table Gaming at their race tracks.

Makes me wish I lived two miles over so I could vote yes. It would be very nice to be able to play poker 20 minutes from my house.

If you know folks in Jefferson County, West Virginia tell them to vote for table games. I know I will be telling everyone I know.

How Do You Blog About Poker When You Can't Play?

That is the question I am asking myself.

My troubles in downloading Full Tilt Poker software continue. Today I finally had a chance to follow their latest instructions. And guess what. The download still craps out. I just sent them another email. Hopefully they will have some answers this time. If not, I will have to find another way to access my account there. My money is still deposited with them and it would be nice to see some of it at some point, -- especially since I am currently out of work and need to pay some bills.

If you know anyone at FTP, let them know there is a blogger out here who can't play.

Enjoy the Pokery Goodness (Even though I can't)

Possible Solution For My FTP

The good folks at FTP's Technology Dept. have presented my with another solution to my inablility to download their software and play poker on their site. I will try it out when I get back home.

The techs have been nothing but friendly and helpful. And so far, they have not made it seem as if I was a complete idiot.

More on this continuing saga as it unfolds.
